Banana Bread

Today I made my grandma's banana bread. She has had the recipe since she was in Jr. High! I thought I would share it with you. I made 14 little loaves and froze 12 of them. I think it tastes even better after it comes out of the freezer.

Banana Bread
4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
6 banana's mashed
1 cup shortening
4 eggs

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Sift flour, soda, and salt. Add flour alternately with bananas. Add nuts if desired ( I use pecans) Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour. It depends on the loaf size and your oven.

Enjoy.

is that grandma rigby's or pace's. I am definitely going to have to try it. I've been meaning to make banana bread for awhile now.

This is grandma Rigby's recipe. It would be good for you and then you could freeze them like me :) I wrap them in wax paper and then put them in ziploc bags.
